My wife told me of the story of before I met her where she drew a picture of an angel that she gave to a little girl dying in a hospital. The mother told her that the little girl held the picture of the angel as she was dying. Art therapy can allow someone dealing with health issues to either heal up better or die more peacefully.
So, art therapy properly applied can be a life saver for many people around the world.
