When you look at this poll, for example, it maybe doesn't make sense to try to change candidates and have Biden drop out.
However, the other thing is this is the poll today which could easily change next week or next month if someone else was in place.
The biggest problem might be if Biden Drops out what happens to Kamala Harris if say Governor Newsom became the candidate because you couldn't have her be his vice presidential pick because they both are from California.
So, in order for her to have her turn at running for president, how does that or how could that work?
NOTE: I didn't show those people who were (Not sure) regarding each candidate who didn't know about the candidates that might replace Trump. The highest not sure was 12% regarding Shapiro that likely didn't know who this person was.
