If you look at animals around the world and how they deal with the heat, they mostly go to ground (in otherwords) extreme heat and extreme cold is dealt with by moving underground during the hottest or coldest parts of any given day or night.
People likely if they want to stay in the hottest regions likely will have to do the same (where they go underground during the hottest times of the day and come out only at night. This is one of the few ways to stay alive in the increasing heat.
The other problem we are finding worldwide is just depending upon electricity being there to run air conditioners isn't failproof because of rolling blackouts various places on earth. So, when the electricity goes down this by itself can kill people just like your air conditioner going out in your car or truck in temperatures over 110 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
So, adapting to the newer problems as they arrive will keep more people alive and so most of the people who die from now on will be the homeless and the aged who cannot afford air conditioners or afford to move away from where they live.
Once again, human beings are in the same position as animals and birds all over the world in that unless they find good ways to survive they don't.
I think less people are going to die from the heat or the cold than from starvation because they won't be able to afford the prices of the food to stay alive especially in 3rd world nations around the world because of crop failures caused by the heat and the cold and changes to the weather ongoing.
