all U.S. States turfing their homeless to San Francisco has resulted in the mess in San Francisco right now where the homeless can now be jailed

I suppose the red states are laughing and gleeful that California (specifically San Francisco has come to this) from all U.S. states sending their homeless to San Francisco by Bus. There are reasons why they do this:

1. first reason is that they don't want them in their states messing up their cities of the other 49 states.

2. 2nd reason is homeless people are expensive to deal with for a variety of reasons mental and physical and emotional.

3. Often homeless people are wanted by the law or are criminals from this country or another wanted there or here too. But, often they have no identifications and if they are from other countries they might have no fingerprint records either. Also, they might not even speak English.

4. So, the diseases and crazy behavior of some homeless people scares tourists away from many businesses and many larger stores and businesses have had to close because customers were too scared to go to these places. So, they shop in the suburbs where there are less or no homeless people peeing and more on the streets and taking drugs and causing problems.

There are many other reasons why San Francisco has finally had enough of homeless people because the numbers keep growing and growing and making the streets stinkier and more unsafe to be on every day now.

Also, in California we have what is called Medi-Cal which is sort of like Medicare for people of any age who don't have much money. But, even a small business person often can qualify for Medi-Cal too and if people are poor in California often Medi-Cal pays the fees for Medicare when someone is able to go on that too in this state. We are a rich state after all.

But even San Francisco has finally had enough and has to draw the line to stop what has been going on for around 50 years of more and more and more homeless people being turfed to California.

I wanted to check what is happening more accurately in the last few years. This is what I found:

begin quote from:

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) counted 653,104 homeless Americans in its annual point-in-time report, which measures homelessness across the US on a single night each winter. That's a 12.1% increase from the same report in 2022.Mar 28, 2024
