At least on the coast we didn't see the sun today because of the high fog all day. Though this isn't unusual from about may through this time of year it has to be pretty hot inland usually to suck this fog off the ocean through evaporation of the ocean this late in August. So, it likely will alternate between sunny and foggy at least for awhile while it is warmer inland.
Yes it was 98 in Santa Nella today over by Interstate 5 and will be 99 Friday and Saturday so this fog makes more sense now. But, even Paso Robles inland and further south will be 95 on Friday and 96 on Saturday.
