However, it could happen as these storms continue to batter the peninsula over and over again throughout the years. the highest altitude in Florida is only 345 feet so this part likely would stay above water long into the future. However, the parts of Florida below 25 feet could be washed away at least on the West Side of Florida in this storm. Not sure what it will do when it goes off the East Side of Florida however. Also, I don't know what it will do going out to sea from there either.
