 When he wrote them and used William Shakespeare's name because Shakespeare though an actor could not read or write.

Francis Bacon was the world authority on Codes until World War II when computer type devices were first designed. 

So, if you can find a copy of the orginal hand written manuscripts then you could decode them if this is your thing.

Francis Bacon was one of two illegitimate sons of Queen Elizabeth I of England. She beheaded her other and oldest son because he wanted his mother's throne and to be King. However, Francis Bacon survived all this.
