High Wind Warning for Most of California and ORegon:

My son who lives in Portland said the wind was howling last night where he lives. It didn't howl here but the prevailing constant wind is presently 22 mph near San Francisco with gusts up to 60 or 70 miles per hour. So, the trees are moving and the rain is coming down all day today and flooding many places is expected. Since I live on a hill this isn't the problem here for us because we don't live in a flood plain but I do live within a mile of the ocean. I walked our dog at the ocean yesterday. When I went down to the beach it had no people there but eventually everyone started to go down and our dog made friends with all the people she could find. She is a very personable dog who loves people and everyone was very kind of her.
