The Flooding in California is mostly north of San Francisco but might extend down further to Santa Cruz soon as well as all the way down to Los Angeles by tomorrow

 The Atmospheric River has been blasting northern California a lot the last few days but it sort of stops somewhere between Salinas and San Francisco depending upon the day. So, the worst flooding is north of the state.

However, by tonight or tomorrow this flooding could also start to move southwards because the hose of the Atmospheric River from near Hawaii will start to move south today and tomorrow. This could really make a mess and lives could be in danger near the Burn areas of Los Angeles County and make the oceans and rivers a mess from poisonous runoff and ashes. So, people will have to be very careful and observant throughout the state of California the rest of this week as to mud and rock slides.

They expect up to 15 inches of rain total in several areas of Northern California:

FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST TUESDAY

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the following
counties, Modoc and southeastern Siskiyou, and the cities of
Alturas, Adin, Canby, Pondosa, and McCloud.

* WHEN...Until at least 1000 PM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 124 PM PST, Heavy rain and snowmelt is occurring, and will
cause flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen, and an additional 2 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.

- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Little Castle Creek, Edson Creek, Dry Creek, McKay Creek,
Huckleberry Creek, Big Canyon Creek, Ash Creek, McCloud
River, Bear Creek, Trout Creek, Squaw Valley Creek, Cold
Creek, Pole Creek, Pilgrim Creek, Castle Lake Creek, Soda
Creek, Sacramento River, Hedge Creek, North Fork Bear Creek,
Panther Creek and Angel Creek.

- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Shasta, Alturas, Dunsmuir, Howards Gulch Campground,
Canby, Lower Rush Creek Campground, Adin, Lookout, Lava Lake
Campground, Tionesta, Day, Likely, Pondosa, Willow Ranch,
Cattle Camp Campground, Pilgrim Creek Snow Park, Fowlers Camp
Campground And McCloud Falls and McCloud.
