Strangely enough, both your compassion and your anger at how you and others are treated are the most powerful tools we all have in life

Being the Victim of a person or a church or a corporation is just a good way to die (either inside or your body dying too).

I became aware of this at a really early age because I started working at part time jobs by the time I was 10 or 12 year old.

My first disappointing job was as a Newspaper boy delivering newspapers of the Glendale New Press in the Los Angeles area when I was 10 years old. This was a 7 day a week job and Sunday morning I had to get up at 4 AM to wrap my papers for delivery. And if it was wet or rainy they gave me plastic wrappers so the Newspapers didn't get wet.

What was the problem with this job?

The delivering of the newspapers was easy.

However, I still had to pay for all my newspapers before I made any money at all. Which in reality this meant that if one to 5 of my customers didn't pay me when I had to go door to door and collect my money I didn't make anything at all.

Also, the most money I could make in 1958 was likely 5 to 10 dollars a month which is a whole lot of work for that much money even then. But, this is one of the few ways to make money as a 10 year old then and it taught me a lot about the business world and just how screwed it was.

However, I also learned how to run a business as a paper boy too because you learn that business is about money coming in and money going out (accounts receivable and accounts payable) which helped me start or run the businesses I started or bought from around age 30 onwards.

So, your compassion for yourself and others plus your anger (properly used) is how you become a success here in the U.S. At least.

By God's Grace
