When you actually reach "artificial General Intelligence" most human beings could theoretically be replaced by such beings much the same way that humans have replaced many species of animals and plants on earth. So, human beings wouldn't be entirely replaced but only become secondary to AI beings with "Artificial General Intelligence". This appears to be where it is presently going here on earth at this time.
