Today was Maybe the most beautiful day at the beach all summer

The air was clear and fresh off the ocean and though there were some people there we still were able to find a parking place where I like to go and I took my truck so we wouldn't have to worry about sand in my truck because I'm always going to the beach in it either barefooted or with Crocs full of sand from walking barefoot on the beach. Crocs are great for the beach too because if it's too cold to walk in the water barefoot you can wear your crocs which are more rubbery so they can just be washed off with fresh water from a hose or something later while I'm washing the sand off my feet then. So, I don't worry about doing anything else in cleaning my feet of sand usually until I get home with spigot outside or from the hose on my deck. Living within a mile of the beach has a lot of advantages because feet showers are not common on beaches this far north even though they are everywhere in Southern California and Hawaii on beaches there just because going to the beach and walking in the sand barefoot is something you can do 12 months a year in Southern California and Hawaii both.

But, some friends were playing music for a church conference all week here on the NORCAL coast near SF, California so their last day of playing concerts and doing ministries for people there was Friday so they were preparing to visit a friend of theirs who wasn't feeling well Sacramento so they left around 3 or 4 pm to go have dinner with her there and spend the night hanging out with her because this might be the last time they see her alive in this lifetime.

Anyway, I could see up the coast all the way to Ano Nuevo state park where the Sea Elephants hang out during mating and calfing season there during that time of the year. They are really huge and even a bigger mass than most Grizzlies or Polar Bears (at least the males) whereas the females were more the size closer to that of a male Sea Lion which we have a colony of within a mile of where we live too.

So, a perfect ocean day was had by all. There were even young men playing football on the beach which you don't see very often today too.

The only drawback was a dead sea lion being slowly worn away by the waves as it kept crashing into the shore so it really wasn't a good idea to go into the water with something that large putrifying in the ocean and there was at least one dead seagull on the beach as well.

Anyway, a gorgeous day at the beach likely the best weather possible around 70 degrees and full sun and a few puffy clouds and the waves weren't so big that they would be a danger to anyone either.

So, a perfect day when likely people wouldn't have to be rescued from the ocean who aren't strong enough swimmers to be in the ocean that day. Also, the water is warmer now but only 62 degrees so people if they went in wouldn't get hypothermia that fast like they would during the spring or winter when it is 54 to 57 degrees. Then you usually only last 10 or 20 minutes before you start hallucinating and then you are lost if no one rescues you from the surf and ocean.

So, today was a perfect day where no one needed rescuing who is from inland and not familiar with the ocean waves or currents that can be life threatening quite easily. So, everyone we saw was really happy today at the beach because it was a perfect day.

Then we came home and the clouds started to come in off the ocean so we were there for the best time of the day on a perfect day at the Beach!
