    AI Overview
The Land Back movement, advocating for the return of Indigenous lands, is not a single event but rather a culmination of decades, if not centuries, of Indigenous activism and resistance. While the term "Land Back" gained prominence in the late 2010s, particularly with the use of the hashtag #LandBack, the underlying movement for Indigenous sovereignty and land rights has much deeper roots.
