It's been a really amazing time here in Mt. Shasta!

Everything from swimming in Lake Siskiyou to the Root Fire where I was wondering if I could breathe through the smoke at altitude to the fire mostly under control now and evacuations lifted to Home Made Enchiladas at a friend's house (vegetarian style) while watching Golden UFO Clouds fill the sky outside just before Sunset to meeting new people and playing Spades (a card game) that people say is the opposite of Hearts (another Card Game) to trying to get down through boulders to the main Stream that feeds Lake Siskiyou which becomes the Sacramento River there after it is released from the Dam Holding back Lake Siskiyou to driving up past Bunny Flat where the gate is open all the way to Old Ski Bowl and Panther Meadows which wasn't open yet in July when I was last here in Mt. Shasta.

It's been a very memorable trip so far. I would have liked to drive out past Glass mountain and Medicine Lake and maybe gone into Jot Dean Ice cave to see if the underground (Waterfall) or frozen sloped river (your choice) was still there but that might have been a little much for me at age 77 at this point too.

Wonderful Trip except for the fire and smoke a couple of days until they got it mostly out. Great Trip to Shasta!
