When you are young often you have stars in your eyes and so you aren't as practical as you need to be to survive together in a relationship. What actually breaks people up the most is money not lack of love.
It's "Is there enough money?" And "Who has the money?" And "What do they spend this money on?"
These three things tend to be what actually breaks up most marriages and live in relationships more than anything else.
Another thing that breaks up people is "Where are we going to live?"
When I was young I fell in love with a Girl From the Detroit area. But then I actually went to Detroit and it never went above 30 degrees while I was there and there really weren't any mountains there and I was used to always being around mountains in CAlifornia at least 6000 to 8000 to 9000 feet tall right next to Where I lived always. So, Detroit wasn't going to work for me.
Then I fell in love with a girl in Santa Fe, New Mexico and even though she was a classmate at a private school we both went to I realized I couldn't live full time in Santa Fe, even though it's lovely there because in the end I'm a Californian and used to living along the ocean or up in Mt. Shasta a lot now.
So, even though I love to visit places like Santa Fe, New Mexico sometimes I mostly want to visit because I prefer at present to live along the ocean in California somewhere.
So, there are many things you need to think about when you get together with someone because otherwise these things are going to pull you apart.
However, if you can find a friend and you both respect each other always and are friends always often you can make that relationship work (as long as you can agree where you are going to live on the planet).
When I was 46 I prayed for the kind of person I'm presently married to for 30 plus years so far. And she prayed for someone like me to live with too at the same time.
Both our prayers were answered within about 2 weeks time when we did this.
Life is Amazing! and Prayers can actually work!
