The purpose of Enlightenment is to save not only yourself but also the whole human race from Extinction

Understanding this is everything.

The point is that often enough people who are enlightened need to be away from where the nukes and missiles might fall to restart the human race with 90% or more of us gone from Nukes or Missiles and drones one day.

So, people who live more remotely might be the enlightened ones who save mankind from extinction by everything they know (all their applied Wisdom and knowledge about everything).

Just like in ancient times in Asia and Europe and other places the truly wise people "Left for the Hills" before most of the uneducated people were wiped out from marauding bands who killed and raped everyone they found along the way.

Later after hopefully the marauders left with many bodies behind with all buildings burned down the truly wise ones returned to teach their wisdom so the human race and cultures of that area could return from oblivion of mass deaths.

So, a part of enlightenment is knowing when to be somewhere else in order for everything you care about to go on and return one day.

Note: Often time when oblivion might occur isn't useful to talk about to others simply because it is all probabilities. 

However, when I tried to tell people about what became the Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1989 in the fall often people afterwards when it happened were scared and didn't want to talk to me. One lady had a million dollar plus house that was torn in half by the quake and never wanted to speak to me again.

However, I didn't cause the quake I just knew it was coming and simply got myself and my family out of the way of it so we all survived it okay.
