(or woman).
I'm presently experiencing this likely because of Jet Lag and how much better I feel most of the time going to bed around 9 pm and waking up around 6 AM.
Normally I have always been a night person but jet lag and turn this all around. A few days ago I was waking up at 2 am and not able to go back to sleep from jet lag. However, now I'm going to bed at 9 or 10 and waking up at 6 am and I'm feeling a whole lot better. It seems to work better for the body's rhythms to be sleeping at 9 pm and waking up at 6 am wherever you are on earth.
I find I'm eating better and exercising more and I even am looking at our new treadmill longingly to up my exercise in addition to walking our dog every day since we got back from Europe (which is 9 hours ahead of us) which is why I'm still adjusting to jet lag but for right now at least in a good way.
Luckily, I'm retired and don't have to get up for work or school so I can go through all this and learn from it and just not be in hell like most people would if they couldn't sleep any time of day or night that they needed to.
