It's presently 76 degrees in Santa Barbara: Nice!

And even in the SF Bay area where I live it is 64 today. We don't really expect a lot of weather (as in heavy rain) until at least a week from today. So, yesterday I picked up the plastic covering the 4 foot deep chasms cut by the 10 inches of rain in a few hours here in Santa Barbara. Mostly I did this so that the wind wouldn't catch the plastic at the base (even though I had the top of the plastic higher on the hill weighted down with a cement block and two pieces of wood, a 4 by 4 piece and a 2 by 12 piece of wood about 6 feet long. I dragged it up into the garage but couldn't rinse the 15 foot by 25 foot piece of 4 ml plastic off because the sloughing caused by 10 inches of rain had broken one of the pressure water pipes in the hills and broken it so all outside water had to be shut down until someone could fix this break in the pipes.

However, luckily we still have water pressure with no leaks inside of our house so this is good for showering and washing dishes and such.

It's great to be outside right now looking at the view from this house on a hill looking across the valley here in Santa Barbara!
