What were the most interesting things to me about England?

I was in England and Scotland in 1999 in the fall and in 2011 in the Fall and also in Scotland.

What I found most interesting in England was The Tower of London which contains suits of Armor and things like "The Sword of Truth?" and things like this including the Crown jewels. This is an amazingly historic place and I remembered at least one lifetime living there likely as a politician or a soldier. I was unprepared for what life was like then. It was no picnic or fantasy that's for sure.

Two more things I found interesting about England were Avebury Standing Stones (because you could walk out among the sheep actually through the stones (at least in 2011).

The other thing I found interesting was Glastonbury, England where King Arthur and Guinevere and Merlin actually al lived. Though there is a grave site of King Arthur and Guinevere together at the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey there though it is true one of the Kings guaranteed that this actually was the grave of King Arthur and Guinevere it would be hard to historically prove this because King Arthur and Guinevere lived  between the 5th and 6th Centuries.

Guinevere - World History Encyclopedia

Arthur and Guinevere are legendary figures, so their lives are not tied to a specific, documented time period; however, the legend places them in the late 5th and early 6th centuries, a period of conflict in post-Roman Britain. While some historical evidence suggests a warlord named Arthur existed, Guinevere was first introduced into the stories centuries later in the 12th century.
  • Arthur: The legend suggests he was a British military leader who fought against Anglo-Saxon invaders during the late 5th and early 6th centuries.
  • Guinevere: She appears in the legend much later, around the 12th century, with some sources placing her historically between 470 and 542 AD.
  • Legend vs. History: The character of Arthur may have been a real leader, but the stories grew and were embellished by writers like Geoffrey of Monmouth over centuries, solidifying him as a king and adding legendary figures like Guinevere.
