When did Padmasambhava who brought Buddhism to Tibet Live?

Padmasambhava was a Mahasiddha or what this means translated into English is a "King Magic USER" or Supreme Magic User. Also, using this definition both Buddha and Jesus might also be considered Mahasiddhas of their times.

Some of the developed gifts of a Mahasiddha are levitation, healing the sick, bringing people back to life including themselves, etc. So, from this point of view I think Jesus and Buddha and others would also be considered to be Mahasiddhas like Padmasambhava who brought Buddhism from Nalanda Buddhist University to Tibet to King Trisong Detsun in the 8th Century AD. or (CE if you prefer).

The one Siddhi (magical empowerment) that I have personally observed is changing the weather.

This was in Bodhgaya, India. I was there for the Kalachakra Tantra initiation by the Dalai Lama with my family in December 1985. At the end of the 4 days of initiation there it's supposed to rain. Since it was hot and dry and not a cloud in the sky I didn't think this was possible. Then at the end of this initiation of 500,000 people a cloud appeared directly above us all and rained on us.

Later when I was in Dharamshala, India a monk pointed out who made this happen who was standing nearby us then.

I also experienced the weather change when Kriyananda was in the same County as I was near Mount Shasta and sensed this kind of change then too.

So, this is the Siddhi (magical empowerment) that I have personally observed first hand in my life twice.

Padmasambhava established the First Tibetan School of thought and practice which was the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism.
