1. Organic Baked Potatoes (like I said in another article you can survive just on organic baked potatoes all by themselves.
2. Eggs: Eating eggs in all sorts of ways is another staple of being a Lacto ovo vegetarian
3. Milk products including cheese, cottage cheese and sauces and just regualar organic whole Milk.
If we ate these three things regularly we would usually be okay.
From these three staples we could eat fruit and nuts and vegetables and be fine ONLY eating the things I have listed here.
But, it's important to understand if you give up meat at any time during your life for very long you might not be able to eat meat again ever.
So, be careful with this if you are a vegetarian too long.
For example, I thought it would be fine to try chicken soup out of a dispenser for a quarter in 1958. I was sick for a week and never tried that again.
However, at age 15 I tried Hot Dogs and like them but never have liked Hamburgers.
So, I stayed a vegetarian until I was 32 and only changed then because I was worried that our economy was going to collapse and that I might have to hunt deer to survive with my family.
Though this never happened I started to eat Chicken and Turkey a little bit. For example, to stay at a good weight instead of not eating anything until 4 pm at all like I did before age 40 or 45 I began to have a Turkey weiner from Whole Foods because it is so high protein and so low fat. I found that I can go intermittent fasting from 6 pm until noon the next day and have a turkey weiner (that's all) and last until 3 pm okay with no low blood sugar resulting at all. So, mostly I try ONLY to eat between noon and 6 pm to reduce the wear and tear on my body from eating.
90% of your energy in your body is used digesting food. So, if you are not eating food 18 hours a day your body can better repair itself and stay healthy. This still works for me quite well and I'm 77 1/2 years old right now.
However, if it is really cold outside and you have to stay warmer you might have to alter this some to stay warm enough also ongoing and not get sick from not enough food to stay warm.
