A lot of Rain today in Portland. It reminded me more of the torrential rains you can get in Hawaii Rainforests:

where in a few seconds you can be drenched from head to toe if you don't have full rain gear on and a hood or umbrella like that.

The Locals tell us that this is very unusual because usually the rain in summer is relatively light and almost never torrential like this. I was on a phone call in our car and I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes on the call before it was reasonably safe to get out of the car without being fully drenched even with a rain jacket with a hood on. But, also, I had on Crocs which are not the best thing to wear in the rain either because sometimes they can be more slippery in the rain than many other shoes. But, today maybe going barefoot would have been best the rain was just so torrential likely like places flooding further east from Texas to the Atlantic Ocean that people are dying in a lot lately.
