He was Lord Exchequer of London and raised by the Bacon Family at the behest of the queen secretly. Because of her father King Henry the VIII she chose to never marry and stayed (publicly as "The Virgin Queen" even though that is not the case in reality. She had two sons one was Francis Bacon and the other tried to assume the throne and he was beheaded by her for doing this. I think his name might have been Lord Dudley or something like that. People thought the queen was having an affair with Dudley but he was actually her 2nd son.
Francis Bacon is also considered to be the Father of the Scientific Method still used today all over the world.
I still use the scientific method and break all ideas down into Hypotheses, Theories and Laws which helps me to understand everything in life and helps me stay on an even keel.
I have thousands of hypotheses and hundreds of theories but very few laws regarding everything in life from electronics to mechanical things to philosophy and even to spirituality and Religion.
However, I find the scientific method is one of the main reasons why I am still alive here at age 78 now.
