This would be the 1970s and Kriyananda was a student of Yogananda who passed away in 2013.
Yogananda wrote "Autobiography of a Yogi" which I highly recommend for anyone to read who is on a spiritual path. I used to give this book to hitch hikers in the late 1960s and early 1970s and kept a box of them behind my driver's seat when I was in college of this book to give away then. I had experiences like Yogananda did when he was young and newly on the spiritual path to Enlightenment because I too was always clairvoyant and very spiritual all my life. So, Kriyananda lived until he was 87 years old in 2013.
I was told in the early 1970s while camping with my first wife in Siskiyou County I believe that Kriyananda was present in the county. As we were camping I realized his presence had altered the weather in a good way. This is the first time I realized that real masters changed the weather and all life around them just by their physical presence in a city or county. This really blew my mind experiencing this. However, it has always helped me ever since whenever I was in the presence of a real master in understanding Christian and Buddhist and Swami Masters from the U.S. and India and Tibet.
