Writing can clarify your thoughts about almost anything

One of the worst things that people do to themselves is to stuff their feelings. It's true when really bad things happen in life sometimes you have to stuff things temporarily or you will lose your life or your mind or both.

However, in the long run stuffing just gives you cancer or takes away your life permanently. So, there is this balance that one has to be aware of if they want to stay alive a long time like I already have at age 78.

For me, "Moderation in all things" has been one of my motto's because I saw extreme stances (especially in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s kill so many people in so many ways.

So, Moderation in all things including kindness to myself and all beings I have found to be the key to both enlightenment and a long and relatively happy life.

Another thought I realize that has been important to me is that I saw so many people especially in the 1950s die of overwork. In other words they died by working too much and died young from their 20s to their 40s.

It's sort of like "All work and no play makes Jack a dull Boy" is another saying that might be useful here.

In otherwords, "Overworking kills both mentally and physically".

So, in the 1950s especially people died of overwork a lot and I believe this has to do with the problems associated with PTSD and World War II and the Great Depression more than anything else.

So, writing down your experiences and thinking about the best path forward through your writing can and will save your own life as well as the lives of all around you too in your life.
