it's is possible to install your own portable Air Conditioner in your home

It must be about 10 years ago now in Portland that I bought portable Air Conditioners for both my biological daughters for Portland. It was about the time that Portland Summers started to get really hot there at that time too, especially in July and August.

It's not that bad right now as it is 74 and going to 87 today. I'm trying to get my son to buy an air conditioner right now who just moved to a new location there and likely he will within a few weeks time. You install the vent out a window for the heat it sucks out of the air as it blows the refrigerated air into usually your kitchen or wherever you want the air conditioning to be blowing. But, it has to have somewhere to vent the heat out of the air as it refrigerates it and that is usually out of a window or something like this as it air conditions your apartment or house or place of business.

This summer it seems to be getting hotter everywhere as more and more people die from it in Europe. An amazing amount of people die in Europe because air Conditioning isn't as traditional there as it is here. Also, electricity is much more expensive there since Gas is usually over 10 dollars a gallon.

I thought I would actually check and for some reason the gas price is actually on average somewhere around 7 dollars a gallon as you can see here as of now:

Begin quotes:

As of mid-July 2026, the European Union average for Euro 95 (regular gas) is approximately €1.72 per liter (about $7.15 per US gallon), and diesel sits at around €1.70 per liter. However, pump prices vary significantly by region due to different national taxes and local oil markets.
Gasoline Prices by Country (Euro 95 per liter):
  • Germany: ~€2.00 - €2.05
  • France: ~€1.87
  • Spain: ~€1.52 - €1.53
  • Denmark: ~€2.28
  • Sweden: ~€1.34

Wholesale Natural Gas (For Heating and Power):
European natural gas futures hover around €48.8 per MWh, experiencing fluctuations influenced by global geopolitical tensions.
