From a Drought to Flooding everywhere on the Big Island of Hawaii

 I was watching the weather channel that is covering live Hurricane LALa and it is pretty bad. The main thing that might kill people and wash away homes and businesses and cars is the 2 to 3 feet of rain that will hit between now and 4 am tomorrow (Sunday) there on the Big Island. I think this will be 100 times worse than the Lahaina fire was for Hawaii too. It's time to be on high ground away from what were the dry riverbeds now closing roads all over the Big Island of Hawaii with water crossing roads in at least 5 places already listed so the roads are closed.

Because Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea are both over 13,000 feet high so this is a problem too because when a hurricane hits them there is nowhere for the rain to go but straight down the sides. So, it's a really bad situation when a hurricane hits two 13,000 feet mountains because it will be a disaster with all the extra rain coming down when something like this happens.

So, this all might be 100 times worse than the Lahaina Fire was regarding homes and cars washing down and out to sea. Hopefully people went to high ground before all this so they were not all washed out to sea in their homes and cars and other vehicles.

Plus the Coast Guard has shut down all ports on all the Hawaiian Islands now too because the conditions are so very dangerous. 

I used to live in Hilo, Hawaii when I was 26 in 1974 with my wife and baby son and this is pretty bad because I can see just how potentially bad this could be and even be 100 times worse than Lahaina Fire if people didn't go to high ground instead of trying to protect their homes instead. So, hopefully 100 or more people won't be washed out to sea in their homes from all this now.
