Unfortunately Einstein is right of course. Just look at the world right now. I don't think it ever has been as stupid as it is right now.

I think it has been more dangerous especially in the 1950s and 1960s from nuclear weapons but never as stupid as now. 

And when people do stupid things at the level we see today a whole lot of people tend to die in the process. Look at the world closely and you will see what I mean.
