My Grandmother was born in Philadelphia in 1888. At some point likely around 1900 their house burned down in Philadelphia and this financially ruined them so the parents and the 12 children had to return to Clydebank near Glascow, Scotland where their parents were originally from.

So, the next 12 years until she was 20 to 22 or so were spent in Clydebank, Scotland and then she met her husband George. Her name was Margaret. So, they moved after getting married to Omaha, Nebraska where some of Margaret's brothers and sisters had moved to work on the Newspaper there ni Omaha, Nebraska. My Mother was born in Omaha Nebraska but soon my Grandfather drove his Model T Ford with the family to Seattle where they lived then at Alkai Point as my mother grew up. Then my grandfather left the family when his youngest daughter of 3, my mother was 18 and this forced my mother to support my Grandmother Margaret basicall the rest of her life even after she got Social Security at some point. then Grandma Margaret (Nana) I called her) lived with us until I was in my early 20s and moved with the family to the San Diego Area in 1969.

My Grandmother was kicked out of grade school because she had dyslexia and they couldn't deal with people with dyslexia then in PHiladelphia. So, she never worked a Day outside of her parent's household or my father and mother's household from the time my mother was married at age 27 in 1946.

So, my Grandmother read her Bible A lot and prayed for everyone a lot. So, when I think of "Your Grandmother's prayers are still working for you I think of my Grandmother I called "Nana" who was there from my birth until I was in my early 20s going to college in San Diego County.

Nana lived to be 90 years old then with her other two daughters in Seattle then after about 1971 when I was 23 years old and still in college off and on. I had started working full time as a computer operator and programmer at age 20 right out of Glendale College where I had learned to program in COBOL and Fortran. However, mostly I was a computer operator when everything was still IBM punch cards mostly and was proficient both with all the IBM punch card equipment like card punchers on up to Accounting Machines and sorters and all the rest and also good with IBM 360 mainframes and Univace Optical Scanners where I worked midnight to noon for a while until I realized I couldn't work these hours 7 days a week at age 20. So, eventually I worked as an Electrician in Venice California after living with my aunt who was an actress along with her husband, Donald Curtis, who was in the Ten Commandments with a speaking part along with Charlton Heston. He was also in many detective and UFO black and white movies since the 1940s. Then he almost died from liver problems and became a minister to the stars in Hollywood in the direction of Science of Mind and wrote books like "Your Thoughts can change your Life" which was a very successful book especially with the Hollywood crows then. He was also the youngest English professor as a younger man at Northwestern University too.

The point of all this is that "Your Grandmother's prayers are still working for you".

Not having ever worked in the world my Grandmother's prayers were legendary in making things happen.

Especially her singing "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" which invoked the Archangels into the room we were in while she rocked me with whooping cough on a stuffed rocking chair of the kind we had in the 1940s. IT was like a stuffed chair except it also rocked too then. They were pretty common then.
