The president appears to be "Doing all he can" to maintain his legacy for the future now the last Election for Democrats is over before a new President is elected into office when he has served his 8 years being elected twice like Bush and Clinton before him.
From his news conference:
America is now the number one producer of gas and natural gas and we are saving at least 70 cents a gallon over last year partly because of this. Effectively today our rescue of the auto industry is officially over. We have now repaid taxpayers every dime and more of what the administration committed.
1/2 million new jobs in auto industry alone. Uninsured rate of healthcare at record low. We've cut our deficit to below their 40 year average.
We are leading the international coalition to destroy ISIL. We are leading the international community to check Russian Agression in Ukraine. We are leading the Global Fight to combat Ebola in west Africa and we are preventing an outbreak from occurring here at home.
As a country we have every right to be proud of what we have accomplished. More jobs, more people insured, a growing economy, a shrinking deficit, bussling industry, booming energy.
Pick any metric you want, America's resurgence is real. We are better off. In regard to recovering from 2008 and the Great Recession America has outperformed all our competitors.
In the last 4 years we have put more people back to work than all other advanced economies combined. We are now come to a point where we can reverse middle class demise because the middle class is the engine that powers our prosperity into the future to come. To do that we have to make some smart choices. we've got to make the right choices.
We have to invest in the things that create even faster growth and higher paying jobs for more Americans. I want to work with this new congress to get things done.
we are better positioned than we have been in a very long time.
The above was either a direct quote in some instances or paraphrased as I stopped and started my TIVO while listening to this speech. Unfortunately, this is as much as the dvr recording of "Wolf" had before it ended on CNN TV. If I get more info in the next few hours from Situation room or other Nationally televised CNN or PBS Newshour I will try to share it here later:
