Having soloed in a Cessna 152 myself in 1987 this sort of scares me knowing what I now know. But, maybe one day these will be safe enough for even me to travel in. For example, in 1903 no one but the Wright Brothers believed their heavier than air aircraft would even get off the ground because it wasn't logical or common sensical at the time. The same is true of now, it isn't logical to let a computer fly you to your destination using Google maps but this is also likely going to change too.

 

For example, flying in a passenger jet is safer than driving on streets with signals and stop signs already around the world. It is presently 6 times safer than driving in traffic statistically around the world. Think about this the next time you are driving your car around town.

 

So, it is posssible that even letting a plane fly you to work and to land on your roof might work for you and other executives at your company.

 

You might see a company buy one of these and then fly (one by one) all the executives to work  from their homes over a 2 hour period and the same going home at night. And people might be okay with this sometime later this century. 

 

No traffic jams ever with only the weather being a potential problem and that's all.
