The good thing about this car was it got great mileage. The bad thing about this car would be it would be sort of dangerous now to try to get on a freeway with one because it doesn't have enough pickup. And if you go back to the 1959 with only 36 horsepower it was even worse even though you got incredible mileage with the 1959 oval window. My best friend in college had one and we used to drive round trip to mt. Shasta any time of year in it for around 10 Dollars then from Los Angeles. I'm not sure there is any car you could presently say that about. But, then again gas is always over about 3 dollars a gallon now in California because of state gas taxes which allows our amazing set of roads to be somewhat maintained.
