A Neighbor brought a Yule Log cake over from a French Bakery
I put a picture of it on Signal which goes for us to Europe and California and Oregon to various members of our family. It has "Joyeux Noel" written in white and dark chocolate on it with a candy gingerbread man and various Christmas designs. My wife's best friend also sent us a basket with Chocolate covered Cherries and other stuff too. My wife was thrilled because it meant she wouldn't have to bake a pie or something for dessert Christmas Eve for all of us. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Most years I inflate and old Santa Now who is riding a Polar Bear and let the electric pump keep him inflated but he's getting kind of old. However, my wife bought an inflatable reindeer and an inflatable Corgi with a Santa hat on but I think I miss my old Santa Riding a Polar Bear because I haven't put these new inflatables up yet.
Strangely enough after being 20 to 22 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours or more with a wind chill factor of 4 degrees in Portland where my son lives with his family, the temperature is finally starting to go up to at least 31 degrees about now as it is supposed to begin snowing for several hours now.
I talked to him today and he said there was already 1/2 to an inch of snow on the ground outside where he lives so likely there will be more by morning. However, because it is supposed to go up to at least 40 degrees tomorrow, hopefully it will melt off mostly and not cause accidents because people in Portland are not that used to snow because it usually only happens once or twice a year at most. However, this year with arctic blasts like we presently see coming south almost anything can and will happen sort of like out of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow"(2004)
