Why?
It started around Thanksgiving with relatives infecting relatives more and friends infecting friends, so even though many more people are dying of the flu than Covid, the cases are increasing here in the U.S.
In China the problem is completely different because you have 500 million to 1 billion people not vaccinated with anything in regard to Covid. And the 400 million who ARE vaccinated are likely mostly vaccinated only with Sinovax which is not effective against Omicron and not very good against other strains of Covid either.
So, the likelihood is that we are going to see new variants different than Omicron or the others most likely coming out of China (or other places) in the next year or two.
The other thing I have noticed is how many people are just dropping dead unexpectedly between 20 and 50 all over now. It just seems the stress of trying to survive in the world now is much harder than in the 1950s through about 2000. Around 1990 to 2000 I noticed how much harder people had to work (especially below middle Class) to have enough food to eat or a place to live here in the U.S.
So, the stress of just trying to survive financially at all is beginning to kill people more.
When I was coming up I learned (in order to not die by 20 to 40 years of age like many people I watched die young in the 1950s and 1960s) to work "Smarter not Harder".
I'm not sure how effective that is today. However, there is something to be said for not working yourself to death before you are 30 to 50 years of age too.
Learning how to maximize your skills and how to leverage your skills is how people survive to old age generally speaking.
