Most of the State of California is on Flood watch now and most of the city of Watsonville is on mandatory evacuation because of coming flooding

I have written about how this sort of thing was happening around 1995 the last time it got this bad. Then, the Highway 1 cement and metal bridge was washed about 1 mile to the sea down the Carmel River. If you looked now at the replacement bridge (the original one is now under sand and water in the ocean at the mouth of the Carmel River in the ocean there you would not likely believe something like that was even possible. Luckily, where I live it is on a hilly area. It's where the rivers and plains meet various places that can be the most dangerous with flooding. The Carmel River Lagoon I saw men digging out so the whole area near River School in Carmel wouldn't flood the last week or so too. It's when the sand berm build up from waves hitting where the Carmel River meets the sea when that whole area can flood unless people dig the sand out before the whole area is underwater. This is mostly a yearly event so the River School Area isn't under several feet of water.

I have also written about around 1995 how (It could have been any time between around 1995 to 1999 where the whole area of the Monterey Peninsula could not be reached by car or truck in any direction for several Days. The flooding had closed Highway 1 between Marina And Castroville (I think maybe around the Elkhorn Slough area maybe. Then River Road on HIghway 68 near Salinas Flooded out and at the same time the bridge I believe was gone on Highway 1 south to Big Sur from Carmel. So, if you needed to leave the Monterey Peninsula then you were either going to fly out of Monterey Airport (which is a passenger Jet Landing Field) or by taking a boat from Monterey Harbor to Moss Landing or something like that. Otherwise there was NO way off the Monterey Peninsula then because all roads were down at some point.

It looks like this is what is coming for most of the State especially north of Big Sur. Not sure what is happening in SoCal because I live in Northern California on the coast.
