Why would someone want to remember who they have been for billions of years?
Because it's more peaceful to know you have lived billions of years and might live billions more.
The other reason is to discover that there are consequences to everything we think or do in life.
"For every action there is an opposite but equal reaction".
This is a scientific principle but it's sort of like:
"As ye sow so shall ye reap" which is a more farming kind of saying but also associated with the Bible.
And then there is Descartes the French Phlosopher who said something like:
"There is nothing so good that no bad may come of it and nothing so bad that no good may come of it."
This last one is my experience I guess as a human being in this lifetime.
However, I have found that kindness towards myself and all other beings on earth and throughout the universe is the primary key to full enlightenment.
