At my call he comes and tells me of the thought picture to hold in my mind as a key to bring a green sphere which will transport me to where I need to be. I am becoming a part of this planet

 I was thinking about this technology in that like we either have keys to our cars and trucks or we have Fobs that we keep in our pockets that open doors and allow the engines to start.

So, a natural evolution for this technology would be a thought in your mind (likely some picture that you would hold in your mind) which would be unique to your brain patterns which would unlock "The Green Sphere" that is given to Arcane (which allows him to travel to any time or space and even to other timelines also) throughout this galaxy and possibly beyond as well.
