Two police officers were injured – one critically – after gunfire
erupted in a self-proclaimed autonomous hippie commune in Denmark.
Police say one officer was hit in the head and another in the leg as
they were doing “routine work” in Christiania, an area of Copenhagen
where cannabis is sold in open-air markets along a drug-dealing route
called “Pusher Street.”
A civilian, who is not from Denmark, was shot in the leg during the spate of gunfire, Copenhagen Police said via Twitter.
Speaking from the Copenhagen Police Headquarters early Thursday, police commissioner Thorkild Bailiff told reporters the officer who was shot in the head suffered “serious” injuries. Faroe Islanders recruit sheep for Google Street View campaign
“Our thoughts are with the family,” Bailiff said.
This suspect, estimated to be 25-years-old, is being sought in the police shooting.

Cops released a photo of an unidentified suspect, who they said is well-known to authorities.
The man is described as a 5’8’’ male in his mid-20s connected to
Christiania's hash trade. Cops raided the weed-loving commune at least
five times overnight and arrested a friend of the suspect, Bailiff
said.
“This here should be a wakeup call to police,” Bailiff said. “Now the
criminals have really taken over. Now the criminals have to be forced
out.” SEE IT: Historic performance in the Arctic Ocean goes viral

Its roughly 850 residents have declared themselves independent of
Denmark’s laws, though they have set up rules against photographs,
weapons and any violence.
However, the fact that marijuana is openly traded in the streets has
created a steady stream of criminal activity, and authorities have in
recent years begun a process of trying to “normalize” the area.
In June cops brought down 37 weed stalls, arrested 18 people and seized 1,000 pre-rolled joints, according to The Local, though weed sales reportedly started up again as soon as police left the area.

Hawaii-bound Hurricane Madeline was downgraded to a tropical storm by the National Weather
Service Wednesday, as its winds decreased to 70 mph, but forecasters
reiterated that residents should remain indoors and prepare for heavy
rain and strong winds.
The Big Island and Maui County were under tropical storm warnings.
"It doesn't matter if it's a strong tropical storm or a category 1
hurricane," Eric Lau, a meteorologist with the weather service told The
AP. "If you have 70 mph winds verses 75 mph winds, it's still a strong
storm, so residents still need to be prepared."

Hawaii Island public schools will be closed Wednesday and Thursday because of Madeline, according to the state's Department of Education.
Also expecting to batter Hawaii is Hurricane Lester, which was about
1,000 miles from Hawaii Wednesday and expected to drop to a tropical
storm by Sunday. Lester is expected to bring heavy rain, gusty winds and
bigger surf.
Some of the infrastructure in Hawaii is not equipped to handle a strong
storm. One man on the Big Island attached a strap to his home in an
attempt to tie down the roof. He said the house is old and he's not
confident that the roof will hold.
Over in the Atlantic, the National Hurricane Center
said Tropical Storm Hermine had formed in the Gulf of Mexico and was
centered about 350 miles from Tampa, Florida. It was expected to pick up
speed and approach the northwest Florida coast Thursday night. A
warning was dropped about a tropical depression that had been moving
toward North Carolina.
Roadways have turned into rivers on the Sunshine State's outer bands,
stalling cars and tying up traffic. Some families and oil rigs on
Florida's Gulf Coast have begun to evacuate, and the city of Cedar Key
is expecting up to 5 feet of storm surge.
A hurricane watch is in effect for the Anclote River to Indian Pass in
Florida, and a tropical storm warning is in effect for the Anclote River
to Florida's Walton-Bay county line, according to the National
Hurricane Center.
Tornadoes are possible late tonight through Thursday morning across
central Florida, the National Hurricane Center said. A storm surge can
cause normally dry areas to be flooded by rising waters over the next
two days along Florida's Gulf Coast.
Another tropical depression is moving slowly northeastward away from the
North Carolina coast at about 5 mph. It has maximum sustained winds of
35 mph, but there are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
Strengthening is still possible, and the depression could become a
tropical storm later today, but it is expected to continue moving
northeast, according to the National Hurricane Center.
The
storm, currently in the Gulf of Mexico, is projected to make landfall
in Florida. The center of the storm is expected to be near the coast by
Thursday night.
Residents
along the Gulf Coast, pounded by heavy rain on Wednesday in advance of
the storm, should be prepared for flooding and storm surges, as Hermine
could bring up to 10 inches of rain, or 20 inches in isolated areas, the
hurricane center said.
"It is
crucial that every Floridian has a plan in place to ensure their
families, homes and businesses are fully prepared," Gov. Rick Scott said
in declaring the state of emergency for 51 of the state's 67 counties.
Hermine
is moving north-northeast at 10 miles per hour, but is expected to gain
speed through Thursday. Strong winds from the storm are expected to
reach the Florida coast in the panhandle region beginning Thursday
night, the hurricane center said. It also warned of dangerous storm
surge and flooding along the Gulf Coast that could be life threatening
from Aripeka to Indian Pass, which is located in central Florida about
50 miles north of Tampa.
NASA grabs stunning footage of three hurricanes00:51
Rising waters could reach up to one to seven feet above ground in certain areas.
Forecasts call for the storm to cross Florida before continuing northeast along the coasts of Georgia and the Carolinas.
As
of 7 p.m. ET Wednesday, the storm was about 330 miles south-southwest
of Apalachicola and 300 miles southwest of Tampa, the National Hurricane
Center said.
Previously dubbed Tropical Depression Nine, it strengthened into a tropical storm with 40-mph winds Wednesday afternoon.
A hurricane warning was in effect for the area between Suwannee River westward to Mexico Beach, Florida.
Hermine
would become a hurricane if its sustained wind speeds top 74 mph. If
this happens, it would be the first hurricane to make landfall in
Florida since Wilma in 2005. As of 11 p.m. ET, maximum sustained winds
were near 60 mph.

Catfish in the front yard
Some
places, like Marco Island, were already dealing with high water in the
streets, with residents saying they caught catfish in their flooded
front yards, CNN affiliate WZVN reported.
"Craziest
thing I ever saw," Darrin Palumbo told the station. "We were driving
home from school, and the road was flipping around and moving. We
finally figured out there was a bunch of catfish flopping around the
road."
The town of Largo in
Pinellas County experienced heavy flooding, with six families having to
move out after water invaded their apartments, CNN affiliate WFTS reported.
People in Spring Hill, in Pasco County, are still recovering from flooding a few months ago, WFTS reported. That flood made the road they depend on impassable, Misty Hill said.
"It's going to be 10 times worse," she said.
Residents have been sharing images of high water running through neighborhoods.

In Anna Maria Beach, cars were splashing as they drove through hubcap-high water in the street.
Two Florida counties are
taking no chances with its oceanside locales. Franklin County, just
southeast of Panama City, issued a mandatory evacuation order for the
coastal towns of St. George Island, Dog Island, Bald Point and Alligator
Point, the county's emergency management office said.

Crawfordville Elementary School will open as a shelter at 5 p.m., the county said.
In
Taylor County, farther east, evacuation orders were in place for Dekle
Beach, Keaton Beach, Dark Island, Cedar Island, Steinhatchee, Spring
Warrior, Econfina and Nutall Rise, CNN affiliate WTXL reported.
Ten offshore oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Mexico were also evacuated in anticipation of the storm.
Parts
of Florida are already feeling Hermine's effects. In Pinellas County,
the southwest county that is home to Clearwater and St. Petersburg,
schools have already been closed for Thursday and a flood warning is in
effect. Nearby Manatee County also closed schools.
In
nearby Tampa, the Buccaneers' final preseason NFL game against the
Washington Redskins was moved from Thursday night to Wednesday in
expectation of the storm.

I think we need to expect hundreds more incidents like this against Blacks, Muslims and Hispanics here in the U.S. perpetrated by White Supremacists if Trump becomes president. His rhetoric just encourages s this kind of behavior like no one since George Wallace ex-governor of Alabama.
Larnell Bruce was killed on Aug. 10 when a white supremacist and his girlfriend ran him down with their Jeep.
(Gresham Police Department)
I will never forget where I was or what I was doing the night I learned
of the brutal murder of Oregon teenager Larnell Malik Bruce. It was
just hours ago and reminded me so much of when I first learned of the
brutal police murder of Alton Sterling.
Just like that night last month, I was with my kids. Traditionally,
when I am with my family in the evening, I don't check my phone. Tonight
though, it kept buzzing and dinging repeatedly. Text messages, direct
messages on Twitter, emails, they were coming in from all over. When
that happens in my world, it almost always means something horrible has
taken place. This time was no different.
On Monday, I wrote a story about a black mother
outside of Cleveland who was shot and killed on her way to work by a
raving white madman after he ran a red light and rammed his Jeep into
her car.
On Tuesday, I wrote a story about a 19-year-old black college student
who was shot and killed on his way to work while he was driving his car
through his Delaware neighborhood. Police arrested a 46-year-old white woman and charged her with first-degree murder. It seemed almost like the killing was done by a sniper.
Today, though, is a story that feels like it was ripped straight out of the 1960s.
Bruce
was with friends outside this 7-Eleven in Gresham, Ore., when Russell
Courtier and his girlfriend pulled into the parking lot.
(Google Maps Street View)
Larnell Bruce, who was 19, had just moved to Gresham, Ore., which is
near Portland, earlier this year to live with his younger brother and
mother. Little did he know, that a random night in August would force
him to come eye to eye with a notorious white supremacist and prison
gang leader, Russell Courtier.
Near midnight on Aug. 10, outside of a local 7-Eleven, Larnell Bruce
was charging his cell phone and having small talk with friends and
passersby when Courtier and his girlfriend drove up to the store. Almost
instantly, security camera footage shows a full melee breaking out
between Bruce and Courtier. According to the Portland Mercury,
Courtier's girlfriend, Colleen Hunt, could be overheard yelling “Get
him, baby, get him." Soon after, Courtier smashed Bruce's head into the
front window of the convenience store.
When Bruce pulled out a knife to protect himself, Courtier and Hunt got
back into their Jeep. What happened next, much like seeing the Baton
Rouge officer shoot Alton Sterling in the chest and back, shook me to my
core.
As Larnell Bruce began running home, Russell Courtier and Colleen Hunt
decided they were not finished with the fight and that they would use
their Jeep and mow Bruce down with it.
(Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office)(Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office)
Russell Courtier and his girlfriend Colleen Hunt have been charged in the death of Larnell Bruce.
First, as Bruce was on the sidewalk, they narrowly missed him. Security
camera footage shows the teen doing his best to zigzag away from the
SUV. As Bruce crossed the street, the couple, determined to run him
over, crossed the Jeep into oncoming traffic and struck the teen head
on.
Larnell Bruce, who suffered critical brain injuries, was found by
police on the street with blood coming out of his head and ears. He
survived just a few more days before succumbing to his injuries, but
never spoke another word again.
This is the horrendous time that we are living in.
The deadliest hate crime of the past 75 years took place this year at
the Pulse Night Club in Orlando. The deadliest hate crime against
African-Americans in the same time period took place last year in
Charleston, S.C. With every day that passes, it seems increasingly clear
that bigots are emboldened to act on their worst possible instincts.
Courtier
has a long history with the law, including firing multiple rounds from
his car illegally, smashing a woman's head into a windshield and
attacking a different woman with a knife.
(Facebook)
Russell Courtier, it appears, has been given break after break by the justice system. In 2011, he got away with illegally shooting several rounds from his car because police performed an illegal search. The next year, he slammed a woman's head into a windshield,
but was only given probation. He had just spent two years in prison for
attacking another Oregon woman with a knife, and was on parole for this
crime the night he killed Larnell Bruce.
In the meantime, our prisons are full of non-violent offenders who possessed or sold marijuana, but this man is free to roam the streets at night until it costs a young black teen his life.
Russell Courtier and Colleen Hunt have been arrested and charged with
murder, but it's all too little, too late. The damage is done.
I can't quite put my finger on where we are heading as a nation, but it's not good. I know that much.

Towards the end of this I answer a question Jonathan Asked in the above thing on the "Awesome".
Today, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 my friends and I hiked up from through Cold Creek on the Eastern Side of Mt. Shasta. The way to find this place isn't easy unless you know someone in how to get there.
However, this is the best I can do for you here:
Go from Mt. Shasta on Interstate 5 (if you are coming from this direction) otherwise you might get there from 89 if you are coming west on 89 for some reason. So, if you are traveling from Mt. Shasta over 5 to 89 towards McCloud, then you go past McCloud to Pilgrim Creek Rd. Turn left on Pilgrim creek road (you are presently where there are no houses at all for miles and miles and miles). Then you go quite a ways until you see Pilgrim Creek (you are going over a middle little Stream coming down Mud Creek from a Glacier on Mt. Shasta. The reason it's muddy is it is full of volcanic little bits of rock washing down that are ashes and little rocks from volcanic actions several hundreds of years ago on Mt. Shasta. (There appears to be a never ending supply of this stuff so the stream is always muddy looking year around with little bits of volcanic sand flowing down it always.) After you get past the Mud Creek Crossing.
After crossing Mud Creek bridge start looking for a sign that says Clear Creek. Now this is a really terrible and dusty road (because of all the volcanic dirt in the area) so if you don't want to get completely dusted out this time of year you might want to close the windows and put on the air conditioning. I go slow even in my 4 wheel drive so I don't completely destroy my car on the ruts, rocks and sometimes narrow dirt road where it might be a little scary if you meet another car or truck when you aren't expecting it. When the road finally turns to red dirt you are getting close to where the road splits into the Clear Creek Road and the Cold Creek road both very dirt roads and at this point very rocky at times and dusty. So, unless you have a 4 wheel drive that you actually use as a 4 wheel drive and aren't just having one to look cool this might not be a journey you want to take. However, it is also true that Any car might make it up there too. But, from here on I only could say Cold Creek is to the right up a dirt road and Clear Creek is to the left if you are already about 6000 feet in elevation or so at this point.
Hiking up from the Cold Creek Trailhead. (By the way if you finally get to the right place there is a log across the road and behind the log there is a trail across a stream. If you follow that trail eventually you get up near to where the spring comes out of the mountain at 9000 or 10,000 feet which is pretty amazing following up this beautiful alpine pristine steam up steep slopes. I would recommend good hiking boots but in the past I have climbed all the way up there in Crocs but coming down I was slightly injured in some of the steeper places. So, today I wore my 300 dollar German hiking boots and it was much better. I like hiking boots above my ankle because on this hike you might need to dig your edge of your boots into steep dirt not to fall 30 feet back at an angle so just be careful going up this trail and unless you are really coordinated I wouldn't go there alone because there is zero to no cell reception there. So, keep track of where you are and where you have been so you make it back down safe to your vehicle. Because often there is no one for 10 to 20 miles from you with no cell reception so be prepared for this. This is really remote and if you are not prepared for this you need to think twice about it.

"So, the Galactic Sentience wanted you guys to help control time in your era, past, present and future?", said Jonathan.
Ragna: "Yes".
Jonathan: "Yes. All this makes sense on many different levels."
Ragna laughed: "It meets with your approval then?"
Jonathan realized right now he was talking to a very powerful time general and not just a friend.
"I don't really have an opinion either way. It just makes sense."
Jonathan: "This means that it was before His Oneness built Shamballa when he still had 500 colonies on as many different planets."
Ragna: "Yes".
end addition to "The Awesome Shows up"
The reason I placed it here was I found this out today while walking on this very remote trail to a place that is a retreat place for many people I know at 10,000 feet and very remote. I have a friend who considers this the best place on the mountain to do a 40 day water fast. However, he is now 71 and I worry about him dying doing this at this age. But, he has been doing these about once a year since I first met him in the 1970s up here in the Mt. Shasta area.
A human being when alive is electrical. All Electrical things have Coronas and in a human being this is sometimes called an Aura.
Imagine a human being as an incandescent light bulb. IF the human is alive the light will be on and the light is the Aura of the human being. Even if you cannot see the light around them you can still see aliveness in their eyes as you talk to them. You might be able to smell them which also could be said to be a part of their aura. You can feel the warmth of their skin which could also be a part of the warmth of their aura if you see it in this way.
When that human being goes to sleep or is ill their aura dims.
If they die the light bulb goes out completely. But, it only goes out completely if the person is dead, even if temporarily so, and then miraculously or Doctors revive a person from temporary death.
But, for most normal people their light bulbs are bright if they are awake.
So, this is the best way to see an aura. It is the electrical corona that all things electrical give off that have electrical fields like human beings do, like cell phones do, like computers do, like all living things on earth do and also like electric cars do (which is why I won't own one because I don't want cancer after driving in one 20 years or so).
However, it is possible if you shielded electrical cars from the passengers with lead aprons like used on x-ray patients at the dentist that electric cars might actually be safe to ride in. But, you would have to have everything between the electric motors and the batteries and generating equipment shielded between the passengers and any direct line reception from generators or motors while they were generating or using electricity for propulsion.
Fate has brought two of the mostunpopular men in Mexico together. Donald Trump, the anti-immigrant Republican nominee, will travel to Mexico City on Wednesday to meet President Enrique ... "amnesty" to undocumented …
“Donald Trump to visit Mexico after more than a year of mocking ... Yes, Mexicans remember In simple terms, today’s meeting is between 2 of the most despised and hatedpeople by millions of Mexicans on both sides of the border. Like with Latinos ...
Fate has brought two of the most unpopular men in Mexico
together. Donald Trump, the anti-immigrant Republican nominee, will
travel to Mexico City on Wednesday to meet President Enrique Peña Nieto,
who has an approval rating of just 23 percent in his country.
"In
the past days, the President... invited both US presidential candidates
to a dialogue on the bilateral relations between Mexico and the United
States. Mr. [Trump] has accepted the invitation and will meet tomorrow
in private with the President," Peña Nieto's office tweeted.
Americans
are familiar with Trump's PR issues south of the border. He launched
his campaign by calling Mexicans "drug dealers," "killers," and
"rapists," and has vowed to erect a massive wall along the border and
make Mexico pay for it. Anti-Trump sentiment in Mexico is prettymuch
universal, motivated more by his promise to "build the wall" rather
than his threats to deport the 11 million undocumented immigrants who
currently live in the US. Earlier this year, Peña Nieto compared Trump
to Adolf Hitler and Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.
The American press often covers Peña Nieto as a liberal and dreamy young upstart. Esquire, for example, ran an article
on him jogging with fellow "bro-tastic hottie" Canadian prime minister
Justin Trudeau. But back at home, he is widely loathed. He has presided
over a sluggish economy, a rising murder rate, corruption scandals, and a
brutal crackdown on teachers and labor activists striking in the province of Oaxaca.
The
Mexican president also been dogged by the disappearance of 43 teaching
students in 2014 in the province of Guerrero. The students were abducted
by a drug gang and corrupt local police, but the government has been accused of lying about what happened and attempting to cover it up.
The
visit comes hours before a speech on immigration that Trump is
scheduled to deliver in Arizona. While Trump is still promising to build
the border wall and refusing to grant "amnesty" to undocumented people,
his campaign has said recently that his approach to deportations will
be "humane."
Hillary Clinton's campaign blasted Trump ahead of the Mexico visit, saying in a statement,
"What ultimately matters is what Donald Trump says to voters in
Arizona, not Mexico, and whether he remains committed to the splitting
up of families and deportation of millions."
The meeting between Trump and the Mexican president comes the day before Peña Nieto's state of the nation address. Follow Brendan James on Twitter: @deep_beige
