Public Schools in U.S. are not set up financially to teach 40% of the kids they get

So, if your child is a different learner just expect them to be shamed into being disempowered. This is what happens in public school (almost without exception to any children who are dyslexic, have Aspergers or any other type of learning difference that composes 40% of children in the U.S.

Why is this?

Funding.

So, just expect to be lied to by school districts all across the U.S. with double talk etc. Yes for around 1000 dollars more or less you can have your children tested by private testers hopefully in your area but then the school will be forced to give your child extra attention over the other kids and you may get problems from having forced your public school district to help your child actually learn to read and write.

However, here is another alternative:

All of the benefits of learning at home with teacher support and full academic credit Oak Meadow School is an internationally accredited kindergarten through

From 1980 to 1985 my three children were instructed by my wife and I when I was available and we lived 10 miles from the nearest town or gas station. The children were at the start in 1st grade through 4th grade and when we finished doing this the youngest was 10 and the oldest 12 or 13. At that point the oldest requested to go back to public school so we moved from out house and land that I and my wife and parents and friends built to the San Francisco Bay area where we bought a business .Then the 3 kids finished Grade school, Junior High and one of them finished High school in this area. But, now all have been to college and one is a teacher, one is a fire captain and one is a lawyer who lives in Oregon and practices law there. So, learning to be a self starter by home schooling your children on independent study is an option especially if your child is a different learner and fits into the 40% who are different learners. My son who is now an English Teacher with a Bachelor of Science Degree was dyslexic even though we didn't know it at the time. However, despite being dyslexic he also had about 150 IQ even though he didn't understand how intelligent he was because he had difficulty in spelling and in writing composition even though he always got As in Science and computer programming and in C++ the computer language. So, he didn't really discover the fullness of his intelligence until his late 20s when he learned he had the high IQ in school. He wife by then insisted he be tested and he was very surprised. So, this caused him to go back to college and complete his bachelor of Science degree at one of the California State Universities.
