My wife and I have been watching this so we DVRed it on our TIVO DVR. However, if you haven't seen it yet it appears you can also watch it (each night is two hours long with commercials or likely 80 minutes long without commercials. So, if you watch the 3 episodes it is a total of likely 240 minutes without commercials or 6 hours long with commercials(360 minutes).
When I was young in the late 1950s my father subscribed to American Heritage magazine for several years so I could see pictures of those events by artists of the time and historical true stories of our American Heritage. Sons of Liberty is a group that started in Boston around the time of the Boston Tea Party and this group basically started the revolutionary war. Once iit started at Lexington and Concord it went 13 colonies wide very quickly and George Washington who was a hero of the French and Indian wars became General Washington in charge of the U.S. troops that were called the minutemen. ( I believe they were called this because they could reload their single shot rifles in one minute which was quite an accomplishment then. Washington was from Mt. Vernon, Virginia and a representative of that Colony at that time before the 13 colonies became the first 13 states of the U.S. This 6 hour mini-series is basically how the revolutionary war that created the United States began.
