Lake Baikal and Shamanism and Buddhism and more facts

I mentioned I have been studying more about Lake Baikal because I find it interesting. I mentioned before it has 20% of the Fresh water on earth and is the single largest source of fresh water on earth. It is so large it has it's own endemic type of seals called Nerps. It has 30 types of fish and other species endemic to this area. People drink water directly from the lake which likely means people see the lake as sacred as I have seen people drink water from the Ganges too even though ashes of people and everything else is within it. However, as someone from the U.S. I wouldn't do this for a variety of reasons. The local culture is Buryat. They have been in this location for 5000 years. They went there after the ice melted from the ice age and share the same DNA as the Aleuts in Alaska. So, they basically are the same tribe of people. The Aleuts have been in Alaska at least 6000 years. The Aleuts have memories of the land being dry between the Bering Strait. The Buryats of Lake Baikal have a culture based equally on shamanism and Buddhism. Shamanism was first but when Buddhism came they adopted it fast. They practice both equally. They all seem to believe that Shaman Rock directly on the lake is a powerful spiritual place that people from all cultures and religions come to(more the indigenous cultures and religions). It is a highly spiritual place on earth. The people believe that any type of decision you need to make will become crystal clear there. People believe they get purified there and speak of intense stuff comes up as it is being let go. So, that if you have a lot of mental, spiritual or physical impurities they'll become more evident there. But, it's so you can heal it and let it go.  IF you practice a certain spiritual practice and do your practice there, it will go deep and will take you really far on the path that you are on. It amplifies your practice. That's why Lamas, and other spiritual teachers go there to teach people (groups go there), they can go much further there in their practices than other places in the world.

This is very interesting to me. Some of the other places like this around the world that I personally know about are Mt. Shasta, Mt. Kailash, Glastonbury, and a place that I found was full of infinite Grace which is at 160 Rue du Bac in Paris which is where Saint Catherine (whose body did not decompose) is in a glass case there. When I went there with my family in 2011 the angels walked right up to me and told me how to behave in this place with the bodies of 3 saints there in cases. IF you wear a Mary Medal like I do this is the area Saint Catherine du Laboure first struck this medal in the early 1800s. Millions of people started wearing this medal in the 1800s because most people with the plague got well when they wore this medal. And I can witness to you about the Angels in this place which is like no other on earth I have ever experienced. I was very surprised to find a Sacred Place like this within any city on earth. Usually the most sacred places are in wilderness areas like Lake Baikal, Mt. Shasta, or Mt. Kailash.
