Especially in the early 1980s my friend and I studied with the same Medicine man together who was in the Blackfoot Sioux tradition

He made me laugh recently when he told me he was reading "Black Elk Speaks" and read about crawling into a herd of buffalo in Wyoming. So, one day he did this as he just read about it. However, after he got out safely from the center of the herd he also read that the guy in the book died doing this. So, it just shows how ballzy many of us were doing crazy things like this back in the 1970s and 1980s when most people before us died doing things like this. So, when he told me this story I laughed a long time that he had survived this!

By the way, What animal kills more people than any other animal in the U.S. every year?

Buffalo.

They are kind of like Rhinos this way as they kill people in the same way. They knock you down by butting you with their head and horns and then stomp on your face and head and chest with their front feet. You are dead in about 2 seconds time.

Remember this if you are traveling anywhere near Wyoming with wild Buffalo herds especially in Teton National park or Yellowstone national park. Buffaloes kill more people every year than any other animal in the U.S.
