Living Underground:Hope for Humans? All over our planet earth is a relatively untapped resource: relative heat. Wherever you live on our planet the temperature of the earth between 1 foot to 7 feet underground tends to be around 60 degrees fahrenheit year around. Where I live I keep my home thermostat set at between 62 degrees and 68 degrees or off depending upon the outside temperature.
So what I'm saying is imagine all the heating or cooling power that could be saved if
everyone decided to live underground (1 or more feet underground) to conserve power to help alleviate global Climate change?
There is another advantage to living underground. The actual sustainable human population moves from 250 million that can actually survive 1000 years or more on planet earth without turning earth into a 600+ degree Venus like environment to around 13 billion people that could live underground if the surface was ONLY used for recreation and farming. Yes. This WOULD be a big change for humans.
However, I believe the alternative is to watch all but around 250 million people die over the next 300 to 500 years and if the human race is too stubborn in this case we will go extinct from extreme Global Climate change.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
