Since there appears to be a new Cold War beginning with Russia around Syria and Iran and a hot war beginning in Syria as a Civil War and potentially Iran through Israel(that might last for years because of Iranian and Russian Aid to the Syrian Government and Russian Aid to the Iranian Government), I thought it might be useful for people to better understand what happened during the last Cold War which lasted from the end of World War II (1947) until 1991 when the Soviet Union Collapsed. I can tell you since I was born in 1948 that the Cold War was often a Terrifying experience that all of us in the Western World And Communist Block countries lived with every day for almost 50 years.
