Basically, just expect to be dead if you don't get warning in time to get to a stronger structure that is tied to the ground.
In Waverly, Virginia a man in his 50s, a man in his 20s and a boy 2 all died when the tornado picked up their mobile home into the air and through it into a forest across the street. I think it was an EF3 tornado.
Another couple and I believe their two girls under about 5 were in their mobile home and survived but the mother had to hold onto the kids ankles because they were being sucked out the window in another town.
So, mobile homes if you don't get warning enough and are in them when the tornado arrives are often fatal.
So, it's a good idea these days not to be in a mobile home or tent or car when a tornado hits. you want to be in a central bathroom of a house bolted to the ground with a mattress over your family while you all get into the bathtub which becomes your armor and the bed mattress becomes your shield to survive tornadoes in.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
