And the second storm is beginning to hit California right now a little after midnight. It was a little scary today when Interstate 5 and 101 both closed for a while. 101 was closed from about Santa Barbara south to highway 150 most of the day and didn't reopen until this evening (likely because Interstate 5 over the grapevine) could easily close during the night because of snow. Since 101 and Interstate 5 are the two main routes north for Trucks and Cars from San Diego to Los Angeles north having one or both 101 and 5 open is very important to the whole state and to states like Oregon and Washington to the north and Arizona and Mexico to the south and East and all other states that Semi Trucks drive through.
The first storm hit and dropped 4 inches or more where I presently am in Orange county but think about this for a moment: "My cousin told me that between December 1 2017 and December 1 2018 only 3 inches of rain fell here!" which is also kind of crazy for anywhere.
Where I live up near San Francisco the power is out and many many trees are down from a deadly combination of wind and rain. So, almost wherever you are in California you are trying to figure out a way forward through all of this in your lives.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
