The way I see it most if not all shooters are suicidal in their outlook. So, maybe it's better to have them be shot by teachers on the job rather than have police shoot them 10 minutes later after 20 to 50 kids have been shot. This way you reduce the amount of children being shot in school shootings and you also reduce the amount of fatalities.
Becoming a school shooter should be thought of as a suicidal endeavor always. To think of it in any other way isn't rational or sane. But, it's also true that most school shooters are not rational or sane (at least that day that they decide to be armed shooters).
