I find that writing can be very healing. I suppose it is somewhat of a different experience for every person that writes. But, for me it is always very healing and very cathartic and cleansing, especially if I write something and then keep it and re-read it months, days or years later. Because then I can say to myself, "Oh. That's what I was thinking then." Because often as you get more information your viewpoint changes quickly or slowly over time.
So, writing over time can bring about many realizations that help you survive your life and help you understand better what is happening to you in any given moment.
Often when things are the worst what you write is the most important both in the short run and in the long run. Even when you wince at what you wrote when you were struggling to stay alive might help you in the future in some way or it might help a family member who is struggling or help you help them in some way.
Writing is a way of understanding yourself and the world around you better through time through all the phases of your life.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
