If you are an entrepreneur it is often about taking enough information in and coming up with responses to that information in a creative way.
So, learning to be infinitely adaptable (which is what everyone basically has to do to survive their lives in the first place) is a quality all successful entrepreneurs have to begin with.
However, learning to be a jack of all trades and a master of some is part of being a successful entrepreneur too.
Learning how to sweep up as well as make board room decisions allows an entrepreneur to learn all jobs within their organization. Without this ability of assessing the practicality of all jobs especially in the beginning of a new business, often business owners create problems for themselves by not really understanding the fulness of all aspects of their businesses.
So, being a successful entrepreneur isn't just about making top down decisions it is the ability to wear multiple hats (business wise) so better and better decisions can be made ongoing by understanding better all aspects and problems that this business can and will encounter in the present and in the future.
Often young business owners (25 to 30 or under) have mentors who already know a lot about this particular type of business.
And most important of all entrepreneurs (all of them) ALWAYS learn much more from their mistakes than they do their successes. This is just life as it really is.
So, if at first you don't succeed, then re-evaluate and try again and learn from your mistakes.
Often if this is your first business you want a very low overhead business to cut your business teeth on. The more capital your business needs to start the more likely it will fail if it is your first outing in ever starting a business.
And most important is the motto of all entrepreneurs "Nothing ventured Nothing Gained". IN other words without some risks there are never any gains at all in business. So, it is about knowing enough what risks you can take and which ones you can't that make a success in the first place. And this one only learns through enough experience in running businesses.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
