The feeling in the air worldwide is now one of hope. The fear is still there because of all those dying of coronavirus is increasing and the funding for hiring people to give the vaccinations is all messed up by Trump and his trying to shame McConnell and other Republicans. Trump is napalming now his relationships with almost all Republicans who accept Biden as the president Elect. So, Trump likely has really cut his own throat politically speaking by doing this at this point to where only the most extreme Republican leaders will have anything to do with him at all.
So, there is this hope of the average American that we might just make it through all this in one piece that wasn't there before Christmas. Hope has returned at least for the holidays even though we all know (if you have studied the numbers of people getting coronavirus) then you know that we could see up to 10,000 people dying per day by late January all the way through March. Because here in California (which is about 1/9 or 1/10 of the deaths nationally, we are losing now at least 1000 people a week to coronavirus mostly in Los Angeles County and Southern California.
But, Christmas still brought hope to a reeling nation and a reeling world. My wife has now convinced me that this is much worse than World War II or the Great Depression (both of them). This is the worst thing that has happened to the whole world in World History at this point. At least in the last 200 years.
And recovering from this will likely take 20 to 50 years or more just like it did from World war II. So, it's as if we all just got reincarnated into some kind of new lifetime or something during the past year.
It's as close to a dystopian future that we are likely to see this century and hopefully it doesn't get any worse than what we will experience between now and April.
At least Biden and Harris will be at the helm now giving us some hope rather than a madman like Trump!
So, Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year! and God Help us all worldwide!
